About Garo Habano Fine Cigars

For over a dozen years, we at Garo Habano© Cigars are an extremely committed, professional group of individuals whose unfailing belief in, and support of, our product has allowed us to progress from the ranks of upstart newcomers of the early years of the "cigar boom" to our current position of regional staple brand and a credible option for shelf placement nationally. Our growth has been accomplished without a great deal of press, nor have we had a strong national distribution channel to assist us in introducing our product to new regional markets. Instead, we have relied on the "old model" sales strategy of meeting our accounts, in person, and developing relationships, which survive and flourish to this day. Our retail base is comprised of tobacco-specific outlets; no mass-market or mail-order-only customers have ever been considered.

This policy of keeping the product only in tobacco stores has not only helped maintain consumer perception of our cigars as a premium product, but has, and continues to be, very much appreciated by our retailers for continuation of its exclusivity and elimination of untenable price-point competition from internet and mail-order discounters. Our commitment to maintain this position has, while limiting total sales, been instrumental in allowing us to survive in a market where even well-funded and distributed lines from the largest of our competitors have failed.

Of the hundreds, even thousands, of brands that entered the marketplace contemporaneously with our product, fewer than 30 have survived to reach the third year of the new millennium, and even fewer survived to this day. Those of us who have share some very basic business principles in common:

  • Create and provide great products. The mediocre need not apply.
  • Maintain strong contact with retailers. Keeping in touch is key.
  • Continually strive for consistency.
  • Never allow market forces to compromise quality.

It is through close adherence to these tenets the we have continued to offer our client base some of the best-conceived, best-constructed, and most consistent cigars in the industry. This level of commitment and attention to detail is evident in only the best companies and we proudly consider ourselves to be among the best.

Reviews

Garo Centum Salomon

Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Habano Honduras
Wrapper: Habano Ecuador
Size: 71/2x58

This cigar along with the other two we reviewed for Garo Habano rested in our humidor for three days before smoking and we simply enjoyed each one very much. We are very greatful to have smoked these fine cigars and share our opinions with our readers, so here's what we thought.

The Centum reminds us of Octoberfest, thought this cigar would be great to enjoy with, well, a Octoberfest season beer, perhaps a Orange flavored beer like Blue Moon with a Orange slice.
Started out Mild and ended Mild and Smooth.
We could only really get Woody notes and Sweetness and at the end of the cigar, Smoothness, Spicyness and lost the Sweetness.

Stayed lit after setting it down for a few minutes.
Dark Grayish White and Strong ash and even burn through out the cigar.
A Beautiful Smooth Silky Brown Wrapper.
Last but least, it sure did take us a while to smoke the Garo Centum, we estimated a Two Hour Smoke.

We rate the Garo Centum 4 and 1/2 Stars.

Garo Habano (Red/Gold Label)

Slow Burn, has a great full fillness of Rich Flavor, Nutty and Cedar, Mild to Medium. We thought it was a great cigar, just didn't full fill our buds but we do rate it 4 Stars!

Garo Habano (Blue/Gold Label)

Honestly, this was the best cigar we reviewed and if you know Trina, she is all about Full Body and when we talk Full Body, it has to be so strong, it will either cause her to...
A: Lose Focuse
B: Lose Balance
C: Cause her to fall asleep

BUT! For being a Mild cigar, she LOVED IT and so did I!

Creamy, Woody, and Nutty.
Slow Burn
Light Gray Ash
Smooth
Good Draw and Even Burn

5 Stars!
